GOLF
Mesquite has quietly become one of the best golf destinations in the Southwest, and the courses at CasaBlanca and Virgin River make a pretty strong case. Both courses are gorgeous yet challenging at the same time. The water hazards, bunkers, and elevation changes will humble your scorecard in the best possible way. The CasaBlanca Golf Club, which plays host to the annual Nevada Open, winds through the Virgin River basin with 18 championship holes. Over at the Palms Golf Club, more than 200 palm trees frame a par-72 layout where the front nine plays wide and the back nine gets dramatically vertical, including a 15th hole with a 114-foot drop from tee to fairway. Both courses offer full practice facilities, a pro shop and lessons and are within six minutes of the other. Bring your A-game, or at least your best excuses.
POOL ENTERTAINMENT
CasaBlanca’s CasaPoolooza concert series is what happens when your favorite summer setlist needs a getaway. Free poolside concerts bring popular artist tribute acts from Bruce Springsteen and Aerosmith to Bruno Mars and Prince to Mesquite. Stay up with the party people for After Dark DJ sets in the Casablanca Showroom that run till midnight. Themed cocktails, cabana rentals for up to six, a full Splash Bar menu, and on-site games where lucky Mesquite Journey Rewards members can win hotel stays, golf rounds, and spa services round out the experience. Doors open at 6:30PM, with shows starting at 8PM.

When you need to eat fast without compromising, Streatwalk has you covered. CasaBlanca’s new food hall brings together four quick-serve heavyweights under one roof. Choose from Fresh Brothers for pizza built on fresh dough and vine-ripe tomatoes, the Krafted Burger Bar with chef-curated hand-crafted burgers and craft beers on tap, Pei Wei’s bold Asian-inspired dishes made with the freshest, house-chopped vegetables and whole cuts of white-meat chicken and flank steak, and Shaquille O’Neal’s Big Chicken, serving the crispy chicken sandwiches and tenders “Shaq Diesel” grew up on.
